We enjoy working together with Nathalie Petersen, designer of our gallery.
Currently we are working together again to bring an innovation to the gallery. Not only has Roy Masin managed to approach the interior designer world but also the art-loving public has now become a target group of the gallery. This inspires the engaging team of st1 gallery to create something beautiful again and to look forward to a bright future together.
Besides the gallery, Nathalie also works with our minerals in other projects of hers such as Ammonite Hotel Amsterdam. Click here to read all about this project.

"My first introduction to the fossil and mineral world was when I visited an open day in Soest at Roy Masin's wholesale business. I immediately saw the added value of using these beautiful objects in interiors and made my first purchase of an ammonite in mother stone for the wall.
While talking about the interior design world, an inspiring collaboration developed. For the interior and renovation of Roy Masin's new gallery, I was asked to design, supervise the construction and style the gallery.
The cooperation continued to develop by giving advice to clients of the gallery and with the design, for example, of a presentation cabinet for the plinthed objects.
The biggest project was the Ammonite hotel. I was asked to do a pitch for a concept and design. Instead of the client asking me to create a concept for an Amsterdam art hotel, I decided to transform this concept into the natural art objects that are on display in the gallery. The ammonite (fossil squid) became the inspiration for this concept and all 10 floor were created in collaboration making the hotel the first with this unique theme." says Nathalie.
